Kyalami - The prestigious AMG Performance Tour unfolded at the renowned and internationally acclaimed Kyalami Grand Prix racetrack. This exclusive event showcased an exhilarating line-up of current and forthcoming AMG models tailored for the discerning South African market. The event was well received with around 3000 VIP guests, customers, AMG aficionados and members of the media in attendance over the weekend.

The unveiling of the highly anticipated SL 43 AMG took centre stage, representing the culmination of a long and illustrious motorsports-inspired legacy. This dream car from Mercedes-AMG symbolises the epitome of a modern luxury sports car, fusing a rich history with cutting-edge design and performance.

Adding to the excitement, the AMG Performance Tour marked the debut of the latest duo: the A 35 4MATIC and the flagship A45 S 4MATIC. These compact performance vehicles represent the AMG ethos and were complemented by the introduction of the GLB 35 4MATIC, a remarkable offering that seamlessly blends AMG performance with unmatched practicality within its segment.

Looking ahead to the future of performance mobility, Mercedes-Benz South Africa unveiled the Mercedes-AMG EQE 43 4MATIC and the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 performance luxury sedans. These vehicles incorporate state-of-the-art battery technology with AMG-specific solutions, ensuring a dynamic and emotionally captivating driving experience. From drive and suspension to brakes, sound, exterior and interior design, and equipment, every aspect has been meticulously crafted to deliver unmatched performance and luxury.

In attendance at the AMG Performance Tour, and soon to be introduced locally, were the game-changing all-new C63 S E and the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E. These vehicles combine Formula 1-derived technology with cutting-edge drivetrain technology from AMG, delivering an uncompromising driving experience whether on the road or the track.

The AMG Performance Tour showcased the very essence of AMG's commitment to pushing boundaries, captivating enthusiasts with thrilling performance and extraordinary engineering.

Making a special appearance at the AMG Performance Tour was DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) champion, Bernd Schneider. Bernd Schneider is a five-time DTM champion as well as a Mercedes ambassador having started his career in DTM in 1992 behind the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG. His first year with Mercedes-AMG saw him take third overall in the championship, in 1995 he won his first championship piloting an AMG C-Class.
