(JOHANNESBURG) 12 July 2019 – With predictability comes peace of mind, which is why KIA Motors has decided to increase the value proposition of its evergreen KIA Picanto range with the inclusion of a standard 2-year / 30,000km Service Plan.

There are many benefits to a standard service plan on the KIA Picanto, with one of the main advantages being the ability to plan ahead for the services your car will need – and knowing how much you will need to budget.

“With the new 2-year/30,000km service plan on all KIA Picanto models, customers not only know when to have their cars serviced, but also benefits from predictability of pricing over the plan’s duration,” says David Sieff, Marketing Director, KIA Motors South Africa. “Servicing costs are set for the duration of the plan, meaning customers won’t have to pay anything extra for parts or labour should there be a price increase while the service plan is active, which is a notable value add.”

But more than the predictability of maintenance spend, a standard service plan brings immense peace of mind to the owner. “The new standard service plan ensures that your vehicle is serviced by qualified, highly trained, and experienced technicians at approved KIA Motors service centres across the country,” adds David Sieff, “with the added benefit of only KIA Genuine Parts being used.”

While it’s important to reference the KIA servicing guidelines, the Picanto’s standard service plan includes, amongst others, a variety of filters (oil, fuel and air), lubricants, engine oil, spark plugs, coolant, the sump plug gasket, brake and clutch fluid, transmission fluid, differential fluid, as well as the standard workshop consumables. There are exclusions for certain wear and tear items, but the full extent of what is covered under the service plan is contained in the service plan documentation supplied to the customer on purchase.

The current generation KIA Picanto was introduced to the South African market two years ago, in July 2017. A finalist in the 2018 South African Car of the Year competition and consistent presence in the top 10 bestselling cars in South Africa, the Picanto remains one of the most popular urban runabouts in Mzansi.

Available with a choice of 1.0-litre or 1.2-litre engine, manual or automatic transmission, and four specification grades, the extensive Picanto range ensures that there is an affordable, high quality option for every consumer and every budget. Already leading the pack with an Unlimited Kilometre, 5-year warranty, the KIA Picanto now offers even more value for money with the inclusion of a standard 2-year/30,000km Service Plan.
