Retail in South Africa will start from July 2022
Johannesburg, 21 June 2022 – The new and refreshed Volkswagen T-Roc will go on sale in South Africa at the end of July 2022.

The T-Roc, is positioned between the Taigo and the Tiguan in the Volkswagen T SUV model range

The combination of a progressive look, sporty performance and solid versatility have made the T-Roc a popular compact SUV in the local market. The T-Roc, which is positioned between the recently launched Taigo and the Tiguan, has sold 4 490 units in South Africa since its market introduction in 2020.

A refreshed exterior defines the unmistakable appearance of the new Volkswagen T-Roc. Innovative technology from higher vehicle classes has now been integrated into the compact SUV model range. The new T-Roc range now comes standard with LED headlights and taillights. IQ.Light LED matrix headlights, which are available in the Touareg, Tiguan, Golf, Taigo and Polo, are available as an optional feature as well as IQ. Drive assistance systems such as Travel Assist. The interior has also been refined with high-quality materials, a re-designed infotainment display as well as the Digital Cockpit as standard.

Sophisticated interior, sharpened exterior design

The lines of the new Volkswagen T-Roc exterior have been sharpened, making its unmistakable crossover design more striking. LED headlights and darkened rear lights are included as standard. IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights and an illuminated radiator grille strip, as well as tail light clusters with a new graphic structure and dynamic turn signal are available as optional features in the new T-Roc. Five new exterior paint colours (which can be combined with a white, black or Indium grey roof) and newly designed 17 and 19-inch alloy wheels provide customers with even more options to customise their car.

With a soft touch dash surface and distinctive seams, the new dash panel brings modern and top-quality design highlights to the interior of the new Volkswagen T-Roc. The 8.0-inch infotainment display is designed like a tablet and positioned on the dash panel in line of sight with the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. The new T-Roc comes standard with the Digital Cockpit instrument cluster in the Design equipment line and the Digital Cockpit Pro in the R-Line equipment line. The multi-function steering wheel, which is also part of the standard package, has a new design that contributes to the vehicle’s intuitive control.

In the Design and R-Line equipment lines, door trim and arm rests are made of leather and boast designer seams. In the Design, ArtVelour seats come as standard, while Vienna leather seats are available as optional feature. In conjunction with the R-Line, top-of-the-range sports seats for both driver and front passenger as well as Nappa leather upholstery come as standard.

New levels of digitalisation and connectivity

The new Volkswagen T-Roc is available with Front Assist and Lane Assist advanced assist systems as optional features (standard in the R-Line). The new IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control enable assisted steering, braking and acceleration at speeds of up to 210 km/h.

Another highlight among the optional equipment is the IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights. Whether you are driving during the day, at night or in bad weather, they always provide the best possible visibility. Dynamic Light Assist helps to predictively illuminate winding roads and ensure that oncoming traffic is not dazzled even when the main beam headlights are active, the individual LED segments of the high-tech light system provide better light distribution by specific activation and deactivation depending on the driving situation.

In conjunction with the optional 8.0 inch Discover Media system, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ functions can also be integrated wirelessly into the control system via App-Connect Wireless, if desired.
