Motus Toyota opens new dealership in Ferndale

Motus Toyota has added a new dealership to their portfolio with the opening of Motus Toyota Ferndale during the month of February.

Motus Toyota has added a new dealership to their portfolio with the opening of Motus Toyota Ferndale during the month of February.
Motus Toyota Ferndale is being run as an extension of the nearby Motus Toyota Strijdom Park. The combination of these two sites allows for a bigger Automark pre-owned vehicle offering thanks to the ability to display an additional 50 vehicles in a prime location.

The Automark dealership is well located on the corner of Malibongwe and CR Swart Drive in Randburg, Johannesburg. The day to day running of this facility will be managed by Dealer Principal Morne Petzer and Automark sales Manager Riccardo David along with two dedicated Automark sales executives at the Ferndale branch and five at the Strijdom Park branch.

“There is such a buzz about this area that when I saw that this site and building was available, I just knew that we had to grab it,” says Dealer Principal Morne Petzer.

Although the building was in a good condition, Motus Toyota made a substantial investment to ensure it meets the Motus Toyota standards and updated it with the latest Automark branding.

“Within the Motus Toyota group we aim to sell one pre-owned vehicle for every new car sold. The addition of this Automark facility to the Motus Toyota stable will help us achieve that goal,” said Mario de Sousa, Sales and Marketing Manager, Motus Toyota.

“In comparison to other pre-owned vehicle offerings, the vehicles offered through Automark are backed by Toyota South Africa and Motus Toyota. This ensures peace of mind for customers as they know they are dealing with a well established brand,” added de Sousa.

Pre-owned and Demo Toyota vehicles, less than a year old, are sold through Automark with an extra year added to their warranty, which means the customer buys a very low mileage vehicle at a reduced purchase price and with the same warranty as a new vehicle.

The workshop section of the site has been converted into a reconditioning area and a dedicated reconditioning specialist ensures that all pre-owned vehicles in stock at both Motus Toyota Ferndale and Strijdom Park are in excellent condition prior to sale.

All vehicles displayed on the Automark showroom floor undergo a thorough Dekra inspection and are treated to a professional valet. “We also spend a lot of effort on the photography and presentation of the vehicles in stock. We are well aware that we only have one opportunity to impress a customer with our product offering,” says Petzer.

“Automark aims to sell top quality pre-owned vehicles at competitive prices. Although at least 60% of our stock will always be Toyota models, we also offer a variety of all other makes and models, knowing there is a buyer for every car,” added Petzer.

All Toyota models sold under the Automark banner are younger than four years old, with less than 100 000kms and are sold with a complimentary one year/50 000km Toyota-backed warranty and a full service history. Extended Genuine Warranties are also available.

Motus have a long and distinguished history with Toyota in South Africa that goes back to the 1960s and this partnership has continued to strengthen as the years go by. Motus Toyota currently comprises of eight Toyota, two Automark, one Lexus and four Hino dealerships.

“The Motus Toyota dealers are currently performing extremely well. The rollout of new product such as the Agya, Starlet and Urban Cruiser have been well received with sales numbers exceeding our expectations. The pre-owned vehicle market is also extremely buoyant at the moment with huge demand for good quality, low mileage vehicles,” concluded de Sousa.
