At only 30, Lexus is a youthful automotive brand yet it has carved an indelible name for itself in the arts scene. As a brand, Lexus has invested and collaborated with various projects in film, design and crafts.
LEXUS AT INVESTEC CAPE TOWN ART FAIR (14 – 16 FEBRUARY 2020)
Not only Lexus are vehicles crafted with a masterful skill and attention to detail, they are also meticulously engineered.
Already the official vehicle partner of the Investec Cape Town Art Fair, Lexus South Africa is exhibiting for the first time at the event. The Lexus exhibition stand features an origami installation created by Woza Moya crafters – affiliated to the Hillcrest Aids Centre in KwaZulu-Natal. The feature piece is made up of 8000 folded origami cats, and is set adjacent to a TV screen displaying multiple takumi craftsmanship videos – highlighting the incredible attention to detail that goes into the production of every Lexus model.
As the exclusive vehicle partner of the fair, Lexus is proud to be offering VIP-chauffeur drives to guests attending the event. Fair goers who manage to fold an origami cat in 60 seconds also stand a chance when they visit the Lexus stand. All the paper used for origami is 100% post-consumer recycled. The Lexus range at the art fair includes RX, UX, ES and IS hybrid models as well RX F SPORT.
The Investec Cape Town Art Fair, held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, is the largest of its kind on the African continent. The Fair provides a platform for galleries, collectors, curators and artists from around the globe to engage in cultural and economic exchange. We offer an intimate experience of one of the world’s most unique art capitals. ICTAF is where the fast-growing African art market and the international art world meet.
