South Africans can expect an exciting and unique Audi brand experience like no other with a special debut from the brand’s first fully electric vehicle, the Audi e-tron
14 August, 2019, Johannesburg. Audi has a lot of exciting activities taking place at the 2019 Festival of Motoring. Show visitors will be the first to touch, feel and have a glance at a few, new vehicles that will soon form part of Audi South Africa’s local model range. In addition to this, South Africans can expect an exciting, Audi brand experience in the form of high performance, instructor-led track driving as well as a meet and greet opportunity with an international racing legend, Mattias Ekström.
As part of Audi South Africa’s local launch plan, show visitors at the 2019 Festival of Motoring will be the first to be introduced to the incredibly sporty and trendy, Audi A1; the athletic and stylish Audi Q3 as well as the ever-so sophisticated and premium, Audi A7. The Audi A1 and Q3, launched under the banner of #LiveInTheNow will officially retail in South Africa from 1 September 2019 at local Audi dealerships. The Audi A7 Sportback will then follow in quarter 4 this year.
Added to this, the brand’s first fully-electric vehicle, Audi e-tron will make its South African debut and showcase at the event this year. Expect to be electrified by the Audi e-tron’s cutting edge technology and state-of-the-art design. With 300 kW and 0 to 100 km acceleration in 5.7 seconds, the Audi e-tron catapults into a new era with its electrical all-wheel drive. The Audi e-tron is forward-looking, innovative, and electric – representing the next step into the future for the four rings and is a showstopper that should not be missed.
If a thrilling test drive experience is what you’re looking for – there’s a range of high performance Audi RS models ready to hit the Kyalami race track. You can look forward to being thrilled with an instructor led driving experience in the Audi R8, RS 5 Sportback, RS 4 Avant and RS 3 range. The main Audi stand is where you can book your test drives and experience the exciting Audi brand for yourself. On display, other exciting new models, like the newly launched Audi Q8 and recently facelifted Audi TTS coupé will be exhibited.
Speed fanatics and adrenaline junkies have a whole lot of action in store at the Audi gymkhana and skid pan area. Come and meet the international Audi rallycross legend, Mattias Ekström, who is known for his aggressively fast yet technically controlled driving style. Mattias is a FIA World Rallycross Champion, a two-time DTM champion and a three-time winner of the Race of Champions. So expect to see an Audi speed and driving performance experience like no other.
