Pretoria, 15 December 2021 – The appeal of the Range Rover Evoque, the luxury compact SUV for the city and beyond, will continue in 2022 with a range of 11 individual models including the luxuriously appointed Bronze Collection Special Edition and the range-topping Autobiography, which was first introduced in 2020.

Power and efficiency: Range Rover Evoque is available with a choice of three powerful and efficient engines, including petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrids

On the charge: Advanced P300e plug-in hybrid powertrain features enhanced SAVE mode which optimises regenerative battery charging, attaining up to 80 percent in as little as 90 minutes

State-of-the-art infotainment: Land Rover’s most advanced systems, Pivi and Pivi Pro, are available for Evoque. Intuitive menu structure takes users to the most popular features and functions from a single home screen in two taps or less

Greater connectivity: Online media includes Spotify integrated as a ‘media source’ within the infotainment menu, Bluetooth connectivity for two phones at once, plus wireless charging with signal-boosting option

RANGE ROVER EVOQUE BRONZE COLLECTION SPECIAL EDITION

The Bronze Collection Special Edition builds on the Range Rover Evoque’s sophisticated design and luxurious interior, based on the well-appointed Evoque S specification. On the outside, the model is distinguished by its distinctive Corinthian Bronze contrast roof, Burnished Copper side vents and Satin Dark Grey 20-inch five split-spoke alloy wheels.

Available in three exterior colours – Carpathian Grey, Santorini Black and Seoul Pearl Silver – the design enhancements highlight the signature floating roof and reductive exterior design of the Range Rover Evoque. Inside, Natural Grey Ash veneers, unique Bronze Collection carpet mats with metal-capped corners and Ebony grained leather seat facing seats provide a heightened sense of luxury.

A Sliding Panoramic Roof enhances the cabin, while the Premium LED headlights with signature Daylight Running Lights (DRLs) and animated directional indicators add visual sophistication to the exterior. Land Rover’s innovative ClearSight Interior Rear View Mirror is also available as standard, enhancing visibility and driver confidence at the touch of a button.

RANGE ROVER EVOQUE AUTOBIOGRAPHY

The Evoque Autobiography, first introduced in 2020, sits at the pinnacle of the compact SUV’s line-up, embodying the refinement and luxury synonymous with Range Rover. The flagship Evoque Autobiography edition features distinctive and elegant exterior design accents and a luxurious interior.

Using the purposeful R-Dynamic HSE model as a basis, the Autobiography is instantly recognisable as an Evoque, with its distinctive silhouette enhanced with refined features such as the bumpers, lower trims and body sides from the Black Pack derivative. Distinctive details add sophistication such as burnished copper accents and, for the first time, copper Range Rover lettering. 21-inch Gloss Light Silver with contrast Diamond Turned finish alloy wheels provide a contemporary look which complements the confident R-Dynamic profile, while Autobiography badging and powerful intelligent Matrix LED headlights round off the exterior design enhancements.

The elegant refinement continues on the interior with quilted full Windsor leather upholstery and Grey Ash veneer providing luxurious and elegant surroundings, while the Fixed Panoramic Roof bathes the cabin in light. Comfort and convenience are heightened by an electrically adjustable heated steering wheel, 14-way heated and cooled electric driver memory front seats and heated rear seats.

COMPREHENSIVE SOUTH AFRICAN MODEL LINEUP

In 2022 the Range Rover Evoque model lineup in South Africa will include 11 models including R-Dynamic SE and HSE derivatives, the Bronze Collection Special Edition and the Autobiography. Engine options will include three next-generation Ingenium petrol and diesel engines, including the 147kW D200 2.0-litre turbodiesel , 183kW P250 2.0-litre turbopetrol and 227kW P300e 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid for customers looking for a more sustainable, efficient luxury compact SUV.

The PHEV’s SAVE mode has been enhanced, allowing the system to recharge more effectively on the move when battery charge is being saved for a later part of the journey – at a steady 113km/h, up to 80 percent of the battery charge can be attained in just 90 minutes*.

IMMERSIVE DIGITAL EXPERIENCE

The digital experience inside the Range Rover Evoque has been transformed with Land Rover’s state-of-the-art Pivi infotainment. The system is ready to go as soon as it’s switched on – a separate data plan and battery mean there’s no delay. Software updates are available over-the-air via the vehicle’s embedded data connection at no cost, and can even be scheduled at a time to suit. This ensures customers always have the latest maps, apps and vehicle features without having to visit a dealer. The system is enabled by an advanced Electrical Vehicle Architecture and is available as either standard Pivi, or advanced Pivi Pro.

Streaming music and media has never been simpler, with Spotify** integrated as a ‘media source’ within the infotainment menu and Bluetooth connectivity for two phones at once. There’s also wireless device charging with signal-boosting option. The second-generation Activity Key is also available, allowing customers to unlock any door, lock or even start the vehicle, just by being nearby.

Customers can now even check the quality of the air in the cabin via the touchscreen by activating the smart Cabin Air Filtration system to filter out harmful fine particulate matter often found in cities and high-traffic areas. The system – introduced in addition to the existing Cabin Air Ionisation feature – filters out fine particulate matter, allergens, pollen and even strong smells. The system can filter ultrafine particulates (up to and even below PM2.5). Occupants simply select 'Purify' mode to activate the system, which filters and continually monitors the air inside the cabin relative to the air outside. The touchscreen offers reassurance that the air within the cabin is cleaner than the air outside.

Other technology updates include a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance features for the Evoque, which achieved a five-star Euro NCAP rating. The Rear Collision Monitor uses radars to constantly monitor the vehicle’s rear, meaning the vehicle is primed to reduce the severity of an impact for the occupants, while the optional 3D Surround Camera lets the driver see what is happening around the vehicle at speeds of up to 30km/h, making maneuvering and navigating difficult terrain simpler than ever.
